Organized the monthly meeting of Lavoisier Collective Farming FPC at FPC Sales Outlet, Aranmanaipudur Village, Theni Block.
• Provided technical and handholding support for the development of novel value-added products from moringa pulp and moringa seeds and discussed licensing requirements and financial assistance.
• Conducted sensory evaluation of moringa pulp bar by semi trained panel members
• Discussed the development of website, mobile application and digital marketing strategies to strengthen the FPC
• Explained the maintenance of various registers and other essential records and procedures.

Organized DoT Meet on High Fiber Ready to Use (RtU) Food Products
• Overview of the mandated activities of KVK.
• A special address was given by Dr. K. U. Pavitra Krishna, Head, Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, Subbulakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai, highlighting the importance of fibre rich foods and Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA).
• Handled a technical session on high fiber RtU food products for addressing overnutrition, obesity and diabetes and explained the importance of nutrient analysis, shelf-life study, packaging, labelling, certification and Government schemes.
• Created awareness on National Nutrition Month 2026, with the theme “Discover the Power of Nutrition” and El Niño

Participated in the World Coconut Day Celebrations and Stakeholders’ Meet on Management of Extreme Climate Vulnerabilities in Plantation Crops at ICAR–CPCRI, Kasaragod, Keralam.
• Signed Memorandum of Agreement between ICAR–CPCRI and KVK Theni for Transfer of Technology (ToT) on Coconut Chips Technology and value-added product technologies based on matured coconut water during the World Coconut Day Celebrations 2026 to implement under FLD on EDP mode – Value Added Products from Coconut.

Event Details: 

1. Field visit was made to Brinjal crop at Karattupatti village of Kadamalaikundu block.

2. We have identified excess doses of pesticides, water scarcity problems in the fields and suitable recommendations were given to the farmers.

3. Also, we have explained about bio control application methods and usage in brinjal crop.

1.Conducted training on Digital Marketing in Agriculture, focusing on WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and other digital platforms for promoting and marketing farmer products.

2.Explained e-NAM, digital market information and online payments, and demonstrated product cataloguing, branding and direct farmer-to-consumer marketing for better market access and farm income.

Event Details: 

1.Conducted An off-campus training programme on “Profitable Goat Farming
2.The training programme focused on the scientific management practices required for profitable goat farming. The participants were advised on the importance of selection of suitable goat breeds, proper housing management, and scientific feeding management for improving productivity and profitability in goat farming.
3.The importance of providing balanced nutrition, proper housing facilities, and adopting suitable management practices was discussed with the participants.
4.Awareness was also created on the impact of El Niño and its effects on agriculture and livestock production.
5.The participants actively interacted during the programme and clarified their queries related to goat farming and management practices.

Event Details: 

1.Conducted a follow-up field visit to the SCSP beneficiary's pig-rearing unit at Kuppinayakkanpatti ,alagapuriVillage and assessed the health status, growth performance, and management practices of the piglets.
2.Observed that the piglets were healthy, active, and maintained under satisfactory housing conditions with adequate ventilation and proper hygiene.
3.Recommended timely deworming, vaccination, and regular health monitoring to ensure proper growth and prevent disease occurrence.
4.Encouraged the beneficiary to maintain records of feeding, health care, body weight, and production for effective farm management.
5.Provided technical guidance on scientific pig-rearing practices to enhance productivity and improve farm income.

Conducted on campus training programme on “Marketing Strategies for Agripreneurs” at the KVK premises.
• M. Arunraj, Programme Coordinator (i/c), explained the mandated activities of KVK and highlighted the importance of procuring quality raw materials directly from farmers, particularly CFLD and FLD farmers. He also emphasized the role of social media in promoting and marketing value-added products.
• C. Sabarinathan, SMS (Agricultural Extension), explained the importance of branding and development of novel products. He also briefed the participants on e-NAM and various State and Central Government schemes available for agripreneurs.
• M. Ramyasivaselvi, SMS (Home Science), handled a session on the 4Ps of Marketing-Product, Price, Place and Promotion and also covered price fixing strategies, digital marketing for enhancing product visibility and market reach.

Event Details: 

1. Organized a Parthenium awareness week programme at T. Bomminaickenpatti village of Andipatty block.

2. Created awareness among students and rural communities about the harmful effects of Parthenium.

3. During the programme, participants were sensitized about the identification, distribution and harmful effects of Parthenium on agricultural crops, livestock, human health and the environment.

4. The participants were also educated on timely uprooting before flowering and seed setting, safe disposal of uprooted plants, use of suitable herbicides where appropriate and adoption of biological and cultural management practices.

Organized the World Entrepreneurs Day cum Entrepreneurs Meet at the KVK premises.
• The inaugural address was given by M. Arunraj, Programme Coordinator (i/c), highlighted the mandated activities of KVK and emphasized the significance of World Entrepreneurs Day in recognizing the hard work, creativity, innovation and leadership of entrepreneurs.
• Mr. M. Kalibur Rahman, Assistant Director, Divisional Office, KVIC, Madurai, given the special address and explained the Honey Mission activities, achievements and entrepreneurial opportunities available for farmers.
• Mr. Radhakrishnan, Customer Service Associate, Union Bank of India, Seepalakottai Branch, Chinnamanur Block, explained the various agricultural and livestock financing schemes available for farmers and rural entrepreneurs.
• M. Ramyasivaselvi, SMS (Home Science), handled a technical session on the importance of packaging materials, labelling procedures, and the creation of marketing linkages for value-added products.
• Created awareness on financial literacy and various State and Central Government schemes through Mr. Velusamy and Mr. Srimurugan, Counsellors, Financial Literacy Centres (FLCs), Canara Bank and Tamil Nadu Grama Bank, Theni.
• Dr.R.Dhivyadharshini, PA (Animal Science), explained entrepreneurship development opportunities in the livestock sector and the scope for establishing sustainable livestock-based enterprises.
• Six entrepreneurs from the Agriculture and Allied Sectors were honoured for their outstanding entrepreneurial contributions in Vermicompost Production, Sericulture, Mushroom Production, Value Addition in Grapes, Value Addition in Millets, and Animal Husbandry.
• An exhibition of value-added products developed by KVK-promoted entrepreneurs was organized, providing a platform for knowledge sharing, product promotion, networking, and exploring marketing opportunities among the participants.
