Participated in the valedictory programme of the Entrepreneurship cum Skill Development Programme (E-SDP) on Making of Jute Based Products, organized by the MSME Development and Facilitation Office, Branch Office, Ministry of MSME, Government of India, in association with Sarwodeep Society, Periyakulam Block, Theni District.
• Handled a session on the importance of value addition, recent trends and emerging opportunities in jute-based products.
• Explained the licensing procedures, preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), Govt. Schemes and effective marketing strategies for establishing and promoting entrepreneurial ventures.

Conducted DoT Meet on Processing and Value Addition in Garlic
• Overview of KVK mandated activities
• Special address was given by Shri. S. Senthil Kumaran, Assistant Director (Development), Spices Board, Regional Office, Bodinayakkanur, Theni. He highlighted the uniqueness of GI-tag Kodaikanal Hill Garlic (Malai Poondu), export opportunities, Government schemes and the importance and scope of processing and value addition in garlic
• Handled a technical session on garlic processing, medicinal properties, nutritional value, processing and value addition based machineries, value-added products including black garlic, garlic salt, garlic legium, garlic flakes, garlic powder and garlic oil, garlic rice powder
• Explained certification, branding, labelling, Government schemes

Event Details: 

1. A field visit was conducted at Ethakovil village to facilitate Aavin registration for a dairy farmer.
2. The farmer was previously supplying milk to a private dairy sector.
3. Officials from Aavin, including the Deputy Registrar of Dairy, visited the farmer’s dairy .
4. The farmer’s dairy animals were inspected for their health and overall management.
5. The officials verified the animals and the dairy farming practices followed by the farmer.
6. After inspection, the officials informed that the farmer would be registered with Aavin for milk procurement.

Event Details: 

1. A field visit was conducted to identify and provide effective management recommendations for pest and disease problems in chilli and cluster bean crops.
2. Appropriate nutrient and water management practices were recommended to improve chilli & cluster bean crop growth, productivity, and quality.
3. ⁠ Sucking pests, particularly thrips and mites, were observed in the chilli crop, while aphid infestation was observed in cluster bean. Appropriate recommendations were provided to the farmers for the effective management of these pests.
4. An advisory on the El Niño phenomenon was provided to farmers, emphasizing the importance of adopting drought-resistant and climate-resilient crop varieties to mitigate the impacts of climate variability.

Event Details: 

Conducted FLD Training on Microgreen Cultivation and Value Addition (Action Plan 2026–27, S.No. 12.1.5 (v), Page No. 83).
• The inaugural address was given by M. Arunraj, Programme Coordinator (i/c), explained the mandated activities of KVK, importance of soil and water testing, soil health and nutrient management and the impact of El Niño on agriculture.
• Handled a technical session on Microgreens: Emerging Functional Food Crop, importance of microgreen cultivation, nutritional composition, potential beneficial effects, unique characteristics and key differences between microgreens and mature greens.
• Explained microgreen growing conditions, including indoor and outdoor cultivation, harvesting, packaging, value added products and future trends
• Demonstrated and hand on training on microgreen cultivation techniques and explained the entrepreneurial potential of microgreen production, including business opportunities, licensing, branding and marketing strategies.

• Special address was given by Dr.K.Sujatha, Food Processing Expert & DRP, PMFME, Coimbatore District, created awareness on National Nutrition Month, food and nutrition security and importance of consumption of Nutri Cereals
• Handled a technical session on classification of millets, health benefits, nutritional value, processing and its importances, safe storage methods, value added products from finger millet especially calcium rich RtE, RtU, RtC based products, licensing, packaging, labelling, certification and Government schemes

Event Details: 

1. A field visit was made to Integrated Farming System (IFS) farmer's field to assess the various farm enterprises and their integration for efficient utilization of farm resources and generation of additional income.

2. The farm pond were visited and the farmer was advised on proper pond management and utilization of farm pond water for supplemental irrigation.

3. The daisy chick rearing unit was also visited and guidance was provided on proper chick management, housing, feeding, sanitation, disease prevention and maintaining suitable environmental conditions for healthy growth.

4. The farmer was also provided with an El Nino advisory, emphasizing water conservation, farm pond utilization, efficient irrigation methods, moisture conservation and suitable crop and livestock management practices to minimize the impact of possible dry spells.
