1. Organized a Parthenium awareness week programme at Kothapatti village of Andipatty block.
2. Created awareness among farmers and rural communities about the harmful effects of Parthenium.
3. During the programme, participants were sensitized about the identification, distribution and harmful effects of Parthenium on agricultural crops, livestock, human health and the environment.
4. The participants were also educated on timely uprooting before flowering and seed setting, safe disposal of uprooted plants, use of suitable herbicides where appropriate and adoption of biological and cultural management practices.
