Event Details: 

1. KVK Theni organized a one day awareness programme on Safe and Judicious Use of Pesticides to the farmers at KVK premises.2. We have created awareness among farmers on the responsible use of pesticides, ensuring effective pest management while safeguarding human health, beneficial organisms and the environment.3. Lecture delivered on selection of recommended pesticides, correct dosage, proper timing and method of application, calibration of sprayers, interpretation of pesticide label colour codes, waiting period, pre-harvest interval, and safe disposal of empty pesticide containers.4. Participants were also educated on the importance of using personal protective equipment (PPE), avoiding pesticide misuse, preventing pesticide residues in food and adopting eco-friendly pest management practices.
