1. Conducted On campus training on "IPDM in Vegetable " to the farmers at KVK.
2. Lecture delivered on Integrated pest and disease management in vegetable .
3. ⁠Discussed about major issues faced by farmers and given remedies to the farmers.
4. ⁠Finally, we have distributed Bacillus subtilis to the 5 farmers of Ettayarajapuram village under the OFT programme.

Event Details: 

1. Conducted on campus training on "Recycling of farm waste for sustainable agriculture" to the farmers at Seminar hall, KVK.

2. We have explained about Types of Farm Waste (Crop residues, animal waste, kitchen waste, agro-industrial waste), Importance of Farm Waste Recycling, Compost Preparation Method, Vermicomposting Technology, Crop Residue Management Techniques and Economic benefits of recycling farm waste to the farmers.

3. As a part of this programme, we have distributed Vermibeds to the 10 farmers under the SCSP programme.

Training to Extension functionaries

Event Details: 

1. Lecture delivered on Pest and Disease management in Paddy crop to the farmers of Ellapatty village.

2. Explained about Panchakavya, Fish amino acids, Jeevamirtham, Insect repellent ( 3G Karisal, Iynthilai Karisal) Bio control agents and Bio Pesticides uses and application methods.

3. Finally, we have discussed about major problems faced by the farmers and given suitable recommendations to the farmers.

Organic Farmers cum Entrepreneurs Meet

Event Details: 

An Organic Farmers–cum–Entrepreneurs Meet was organized to provide continuous technical guidance and handholding support to promote organic farming and agri-entrepreneurs.
• The programme commenced with the inaugural address by Mr.P. Maheswaran, Program Coordinator (i/c), KVK Theni, who emphasized the importance of sustainable organic farming and capacity building for entrepreneurs.
• The presidential address was delivered by Mr. P. Chandra Kumar, Senior Regional Manager, Indian Overseas Bank (IOB), Dindigul Region, who highlighted the role of financial institutions in supporting organic farming enterprises and agribusiness development.
• Technical sessions were conducted by Subject Matter Specialists and the PA (Animal Science), focusing on improved organic farming practices, soil health management, value addition, livestock integration, and sustainable production technologies.
• A special Farmers–Scientist Interaction Session was organized to facilitate knowledge exchange, address field-level challenges, and suggest practical solutions for improving productivity and profitability.
• The programme also featured an exhibition showcasing value-added byproducts developed by the entrepreneurs

District Level Conference on Post Harvest Technology and Value Addition in Horticulture Crops

Skill Training on Pickles, Papad and Masala Powder
