Mrs.K.Muthumeena and Mrs. R.Asha from Gandamanur Village visited KVK to prepare banana flour based brownie and cake using KVK Food Processing Incubation Center
• Earlier, they had attended our training programme on value addition of fruits under DAPSC Programme.

On campus training on Value Addition in Tomato

• Special Address was given by Mr.Prince Kamboj, NIF-India Grassroots Innovator of Multi-Purpose Food Processing Machine, Yamuna Nagar, Haryana
• Handled a technical session on importance of value addition in Tomato, selection of raw materials, machineries used processing, packaging and labelling by SMS (Home Science)
• Demonstration of Tomato byproducts i.e puree, ketchup, jam, sauce, chutney, pickle by using Multipurpose Food Processing Machine. Dehydrated tomato products i.e. Dry tomato, powder and vadagam
• Explained the certification procedures, branding, packaging, labelling and marketing strategies
• Exhibited the byproducts of Tomato

2. Discussed regarding packing and labelling of Edible oils. Also, visited the Oil extraction unit and made a linkages for marketing.

OFT Field Visit- Assessment of Integrated pest management modules against tomato pin worm.

2. Also, we have explained about IPDM in tomato management practices to the farmers.
3. ⁠TYLCV was identified and suitable recommendations were given to the farmers. ( Flupyradifurone SL 2ml/litre of water)
4.Explained about nutrient management practices to the farmers.

CFLD field visit

1. CFLD Field visit was made to Ground nut (Var.GJG 32) at Kathirnarasingapuram village of Andipatty block.

2. We have recommended application of gypsum and MN mixture. Also, recorded growth parameters from the demo plot.

Off Campus Training

 1. Conducted Off Campus training on "Good Agricultural Practices in Coconut Cultivation" to the farmers.
2. Lecture delivered on " GAP IN COCONUT CULTIVATION - Introduction, importance, production technology, types of different varieties & Hybrids, Plant protection measures, inputs and inter crop impacts " to the farmers.
3. Also, we have demonstrated a type of Red palm weevil, Rhinoceros beetle traps, Root feeding and Bio fertilizer application in Coconut Plantation.
