Event Details: 

1. Conducted On Campus training on "RECENT TRENDS IN HORTICULTURAL CROP PRODUCTION" to the farmers.
2. Lecture delivered on " COCONUT, BANANA and VEGETABLE CULTIVATION - Introduction, importance, production technology, types of different varieties, Plant protection measures, inputs and social impacts " to the farmers.
3. Also, we have demonstrated a different type of traps in KVK Coconut orchard.
4. Finally, we have distributed 10 different types of vegetable seeds with kitchen garden kit to the participants.

1. Field visit was made to Paddy and Guava at Ethakovil village of Andipatty block.

2. We have identified zinc deficiency in Paddy and rust problem in Guava. Recommended following advisory services to the farmer. Soil application of zinc sulphate 5 kg per acre miz with 20 kg of soil for Paddy and spraying of carbendazim 50 wp for Guava.

2. We have explained about integrated nutrient management practices and organic pest and diseases control methods to the farmers.

3. Also, we have discussed major issues in field level with farmers and given proper advisory services.

2. We have explained about Off season production technologies of Jasmine to the farmers.

3. Also, we have explained about the importance and benefits of Nano urea, Nano DAP, organic pest control methods, pheromone traps and waste decomposer to the farmers.

1. Celebrated Farmers Day program at KVK Premises and we have delivered a lecture on soil health management practices, nutrient management and Integrated pest and disease management practiced

2. Also, we have exhibited nano urea, nano DAP and various value addition technologies in Agricultural and Horticultural crops

1. Technology week- Awareness programme was conducted at Odaipatti village, Chinnamannur block, Theni
2. ⁠Based on climatic factors grapes growers are using more fungicides is abundant.
3. Awareness programme was conducted grapes growers to apply biocontrol agents in soil to control the fungus diseases.
4. ⁠Discussed major problems in grapes and thier suitable recommendations were given to the farmers.

• Technical session on classification of millets, drudgery reducing equipments, safe storage methods for millets, nutrition and health benefits of millets, consumption pattern and dietary intake, RDA, primary and secondary processing of millets and Demonstrated Ready to Use (RTU), Ready to Eat (RTE) products, sensory evaluation methods, recipe standardization procedures, branding, licensing (MSME-Udyam), Quality certification (AGMARK, MSME-ZED (bronze, silver and gold), different packaging materials by SMS (Home Science)

• Explained FSSAI licensing procedures, labelling revised guidelines by Mr.P.Suresh Kannan, Food Safety Officer, Chinnamanur Block

• Handled a session on marketing strategies and its importance by SMS (Agricultural Extension)

• Explained business plan and digital marketing by PC (i/c)
• Pre and post evaluation of training and feedback
• Distribution of certificates and training materials to the all the participants

Event Details: 

1. A follow-up visit was made to KVK promoted FPO at Mayandipatti village of Andipatty block.

2. Group meeting was conducted with Board Of Directors regarding business development activities. Also, visited the Oil extraction unit and made a linkages between cfld farmers for direct procurement of raw materials.
