Conducted Educational sessions and workshops- teaching students about cleanliness, sanitation and hygiene practices.

1. Conducted On Campus training on "Protective measures in coconut cultivation" to the farmers.
2. Lecture delivered on " Coconut cultivation - Introduction, importance, production technology, types of different varieties, major pest and disease control, post harvest aspects and state and central government schemes" to the farmers and farm womens.
3. Also, we have demonstrated a trap for Rhinoceroues beetle and red palm weevil management in KVK Coconut orchard.

1. Field diagnostic visit were made mango cultivation, and die back disease was identified suitable recommendations were given to the farmers.
2. Discussed about important pest and disease management in mango.
3. Explained about nutrient management practices to the farmers.
4. Discuss about organic cultivation methods.

Event Details:   

1. Field visit was made to Chilli and Brinjal crop at Kandamanur village of Kadamalaikundu Block.
2. The following problem was identified during the visit. Chilli - micronutrient deficiency, Brinjal - Fruit borer.
3. We have recommended a foliar application of 19:19:19 + Mn @ 1 % at 60 days after planting. Boric acid @ 0.3% at flowering and 10 days later for chilli. Spraying of Azadirachtin 1.0% EC (10000 ppm) - 3.0 ml/lit for Brinjal fruit borer incidence.

1. Lecture delivered on "Soil health - Introduction and sustainable soil health management practices" to the farmers.
2. we have explained about the importance of soil testing and demonstrated soil sample collection methods to the farmers.
3. Also, we have explained about the ICM in Redgram under rainfed conditions to the farmers.

             Visited Banana Value Addition unit which was developed under Impactful Interventions (2023-24)

              Developing Banana Powder (sakkai variety), banana instant mix, multi nutrient mixes and dehydrated products and Banana handicrafts.

              Advisories given on proper packaging, ZED certification, PMEGP scheme for extending the banana handicrafts unit, marketing strategies and e-NAM registration

2. Presidential address was givenby Dr.P.Sivaram, Deputy Director, CENDECT explained the various activities carried out by KVK during past years.

3.Mr.Y.Alagumuthu, President, Kamatchipuram Panchayat has delivered the special address and also shared the success stories of KVK.

Event Details:   

Diagnostic visit to Guava and Coconut field.
-Leaf spot and Anthracnose diseases was identified in Guava fruits.Coconut redpalm weevil affected in coconut palms. Suitable recommendations were given to the farmers.
-In lab lab field, YMV and pod borer incidence was identified and control measures given to the farmer.
