Handled a technical session on innovative product development wealth from waste, zero waste concept- entrepreneurship development and explained about DPIIT startup India, My MSME and Startup TN

1. Conducted on campus training on Recycling of farm waste to the farmers at KVK.

2. Lecture delivered on Crop residue composting technologies, Coir composting and composting of poultry waste to the farmers.

3. Also, we have explained about importance of bio fertilizer and it's application methods to the farmers.

2. Explained about nutrient management practices to the farmers.

Organized monthly Entrepreneurs meet at KVK Premises.
• The meeting was presided over by Dr.P.Patchaimal, Chairman, KVK Theni and highlighted the role of KVK in entrepreneurship development.
• The Special addresses were given by Mr.A.Mohanasundaram, Manager, India Post Payment Bank and Mr.J.Alaguraj, Development Officer (PLI), India Post and also handled a session on facilities available in post office for entrepreneurs, packaging of products with demonstrations.
• Lecture delivered on Importance of MSME Zed Certification (Bronze, Silver and Gold) by Mr.S.Muthuraja and Ms.P.Priyadharshini, ZED Coordinator, MSME.
• Applied MSME ZED Bronze certificate for KVK promoted 23 entrepreneurs units
• Interactive session on innovative product development in agriculture and allied sectors by Mrs.M.Ramyasivaselvi, SMS (Home Science), KVK Theni.
• Exhibited our entrepreneurs products like Traditional rice, Amla mouth freshener, Amchur, mango leather, jamun leather, grape pomace pickles, grape seed tea powder, grape seed idly powder, grape jelly, grape jam, grape RTS, gingelly oil, rose petals dip tea, millets instant mixes, red banana instant mix, spices, masala powders, groundnut oil, coconut oil, tender coconut and fruit based frozen foods, herbal soaps, coconut oil based soaps, Instant cow dung powder and handicrafts from teak wood, coconut shell and banana fiber.

2. Lecture delivered on Natural farming Jeevamirtham, Panchakavya, Amirtha karisal, Iyenthili Karisal, Muttai Karisal, Insect repellents( Ginger,Garlic and Chilli), Trichoderma, Bacillus, Metarhizium, Beauveria, Verticillium, Insect traps,VAM, Pacilomyces, Poccunia, PPFM practices to the farmers.

3. Also, we have demonstrated on Panchakavya, Jeevamirtham, Jeevamirtham, Amirtha karisal, Iyenthili Karisal, Muttai Karisal, Insect repellents( Ginger,Garlic and Chilli) importance and its application methods to the farmers.

• Overview of KVK mandated activities, recent trends in value addition in food processing and its scope
• Handled a technical session on value addition in Drumstick, Drumstick leaves, Flowers, Seeds, nutritive value, functional and Nutraceutical components, health benefits of Moringa, consumption pattern of Green Leafy Vegetables, Fruits and other vegetables to meet out RDA - (Recommended Dietary Allowances)
• Highlighted the development of high value added products- moringa seed oil production and its uses in food and cosmetic sectors.
• Explained the certification procedures for FSSAI, MSME Udyam, ZED, AGMARK, branding, packaging, labelling and marketing strategies.

• Visited Grapes Value Addition unit which was developed under Impactful Interventions (2023-24)
• Provided technical advisories on Value Added Products from Grapes Pomace based products, e- NAM registration and suitable packaging materials.

Event Details:   

1. Participated in Kisan kosthi programme at Sankarapuram village of Chinnamanur block organized by Dept. Of Agriculture.2. Lecture delivered on ICM in Maize under rainfed condition and importance of bio fertilizers to the farmers.

3. Also, we have explained about various Central and State government agriculture schemes to the farmers.
