• Handled a technical session on Commercialization Bakery and Confectionery items and Profits
• Hands on training cum Demonstrated Fruit flour-based Cake, Cup Cake, Brownie, Different Multi nuts Chocolates and Multi Nutrient Cookies
• As part of Training, Industrial visit was arranged to TNSRLM Bakery Unit, Thappukundu, Theni Block and shared success story by Mrs.P.Hema, KVK promoted women entrepreneur under DAPSC.
• Explained licensing, branding, packaging, labelling and marketing strategies
• Evaluated pre and post-training
• Distributed training manual on Bakery and Confectionery Products and Training completion certificate to the participants.
Farmers Visit to KVK
Event Details:
Mrs.N.Ponmani farm women from Madurai District visited KVK Theni for getting technical advisories on Multi-Purpose Food Processing Machine for developing value added products from Amla.
• Provided technical advisories to develop Amla Squash, Amla RTS, Amla Mouth freshener, Amla Powder, Amla Gulkand and Amla seed-based hair powder.
• Demonstrated Amla Squash, Dehydrated Amla
• Explained about Basic Machineries required for value added products from fruits and vegetables, MSME Udyam Registration, labelling procedures and trade mark registration
Extension Activity- Exposure Visit to KVK
Event Details:
1. Sharing knowledge on banana cultivation practices in Theni District to Farmers and Extension officials from Kozhikode district of Kerala.
2. Lecture delivered on Integrated pest and disease management in banana.
3. Discussed about major issues faced by farmers and given remedies to banana cultivating farmers.
4. Exposure Visit to KVK demo units for showcasing banana cultivation technologies
FLD field visit
Event Details:
1. Field visit was made to FLD on Demonstration of Drone application of NRCB Banana Sakthi in Banana at Chinnaovalapuram village of Chinnamanur block.
2. We have identified Sigatoka leaf spot symptoms. Recommended spraying of Propicanozole @ 0.1 %.
Training for Extension Personnel
Event Details:
Conducted Training on Nutrient-Dense Healthy Supplementary Products
• Handled a Technical session on supplementary food products, low-cost nutritious food products, food pyramid, functions of foods, prevention of nutrient losses during cooking, processing techniques and Value-Added Products from locally available Agriculture and Horticulture Produces, undernutrition, overnutrition, dietary diversity,
• Awareness was created on 8th Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2025 and its importance
On campus Training and FLD input distribution programme
Event Details:
1. Conducted On campus training on "IPDM in Banana" at KVK.
2. Lecture delivered on Integrated pest and disease management in banana.
3. Discussed about major issues faced by farmers and given remedies to the farmers.
4. Finally, we have distributed NRCB Bio consortia to the 10 farmers of Permalgoundanpatti village under the FLD programme.
OFT field visit
Event Details:
- Field visit was made to OFT on Assessment of drought management strategies for improving yield in Maize at Srirengapuram village of Theni block.
- We have explained about seed treatment technologies and land preparation methods to the farmers. The farmers were sowing seeds by using a seed driller machine.
Vocational Training on Beekeeping and Value Addition in Honey
Event Details:
Conducted Vocational Training on Beekeeping and Value Addition in Honey in Collaboration with KVIC, DO, Madurai
• The following National Occupational Standards (NOS) were implemented during the training programme,
Beekeeping operations
Inspect and maintain the beehives
Harvest, process and market honey and related produce- Harvest honey and other bee produce Grade and store the produce Market the produce
Maintain health and safety at the workplace
Employability Skills
• As part of the training programme, Exposure Visit was arranged to High Range Beekeeping Unit (KVIC, PMEGP Unit), Thoppipala, Idukki District, Kerala
• Explained Licensing, Certification, AGMARK, Labelling and Marketing Strategies
Off campus Training cum technology product (NRCB Banana Sakthi) distribution programme
Event Details:
1. Conducted off campus training on "INM in Banana" to the farmers.
2. We have handled technical sessions on integrated nutrient management practices, sucker treatment technologies, green manuring practices and market linkages to the farmers.
3. Finally, we have distributed NRCB Banana Sakthi to the 10 farmers of Chinnaovalapuram village under the FLD programme.
Oncampus training on Hi- tech Vegetable cultivation training cum OFT input distribution .
Event Details:
Conducted oncampus training on "Hitech vegetable cultivation”.
- We have explained about the Hi Tech vegetable cultivation ie., integrated nutrient management practices, Soil nutrient enrichment, Water management, protected cultivation, pest and disease management and market linkages to the farmers.
- Finally, we have distributed tomato and chilli seeds to 10 farmers of Appipatti and Pulikuthi villages under the OFT programme.
