Conducted State Level Beekeepers Meet in collaboration with Khadi and Villages Industries Commission, Divisional Office, Madurai
• Welcome address was given by Mr.P.Maheswaran, Programme Coordinator (i/c), KVK Theni
• Inaugural address was given by Dr.P.Sivaram, Deputy Director, CENDECT, Theni District
• The Meet was presided over by Mr.Senthil Kumar Ramasamy, Divisional Director, KVIC, Madurai
• Special addresses were given on Central Schemes by Shri.Dr.J.Robinson Raja, DDM, NABARD, Theni District & Dr.S.Senthil Kumar, Assistant Kumar-II (V.I), KVIC, Madurai
• Technical sessions were handled by Progressive Beekeepers and SMS (Home Science) on Apiculture and Processing of Honey and Value Addition
• Success stories were shared by five KVK promoted beekeepers and entrepreneurs
• Exhibited KVK promoted Entrepreneurs value added products

Briefed the farmers' about New improved methods of planting, Nutrient management, Inter cultural operation, Post harvest technology in Mango cultivation, drip irrigation, management of pests, diseases in Coconut and also explained and demonstration in TNAU Fruity fresh in Mango.

1. Conducted Soil Health Camp at Anuppampatti village

2. We have explained about the importance of soil testing and usage of soil health card to the farmers.

3. Also, we have demonstrated the method of soil sample collection to the farmers at field level.

2. We have handled technical session composting technologies, Usage and application methods of bio mineralizer and waste decomposer to the farmers.

1. Field visit was made to Cotton and Banana crop at Ethakovil village of Andipatty block.

2. We have identified reddening of cotton and micronutrient deficiency in Banana. Recommended foliar application of 1% of Magnesium sulphate for Cotton and foliar nutrition of 0.5 % MN mixture for Banana

• Demonstrated Bottling of Sugarcane Juice, Liquid Jaggery, Jam, Syrup
• Explained about Sugarcane eco-friendly products from Bagasse, licensing procedures, branding, packaging, labelling, state and central startup schemes and marketing procedures
• Distributed training material to the participants

2. Banana Erwinia rot was identified and suitable recommendation were given to the farmers. ( Carbosulfan 500 ml and COC 500g in 200 litre of water for the management )

4. Discussed about major issues faced by farmers and given remedies to the farmers.
