Event Details:
- Conducted off campus training on IPDM in Banana at Perumalgoundan village of Bodi block, Theni District.
- We have explained about integrated nutrient management practices and organic pest and diseases control methods to the farmers.
- Also, we have discussed major issues in field level with farmers and given proper advisory services.
Field visit
Event Details:
1. Field visit was made to Coccinia & Tomato (Intercrop) and pomegranate filed at Thenpalani village of Uthamapalayam Taluk.
2. We have identified micronutrient deficiency problem in Tomato plants. Recommended foliar application of 19:19:19 + MN @ 1 % and Spray 1.25 ppm of Triacontanol at full bloom stage to increase the yield.
3. Fruit borer incidence was identified in Pomegranate field. Recommended, Spray neem oil 3 % or NSKE 5%.

2. CMV and wilt was identified and suitable recommendation were given to the farmers. ( Dimethoate 2ml/litre of water for viral and Copper oxy chloride 2g / litre of water for wilt management ),

4. Discussed about major issues faced by farmers and given remedies to the farmers.

1. Lecture delivered on scope and importance of fish cultivation for income generation among small and marginal farmers
2. Dr.Velmurugan, Assistant Professor, Loach Research Centre, TNJFU, Theni handled Technical session on site selection, optimal pond condition and breeding practices followed in spiny loach fish.
